Brolio Castle, the symbol of the Chianti Classico region, is central to the Ricasoli estate. The vast estate covers 1,200 hectares, including 240 hectares of vineyards and 26 hectares of olive groves. The heart of Ricasoli

The cellars of Barone Ricasoli lie at the foot of the imposing Brolio Castle. These rooms, separate from the main winery building, are designed exclusively for winemaking. Built in the 19th century, they were carefully modernized to combine historic charm with cutting-edge technology.

Each vineyard is harvested separately. The grapes are brought to the fermentation room in small containers, where they are carefully vinified in stainless steel vats. This method preserves the unique characteristics of each plot. The structure of the wine cellar allows barrels to be filled via gravity, allowing for gentle extraction of flavors and aromas.

After fermentation, the wines mature in oak barrels of various sizes. Intensive laboratory monitoring ensures quality, from barrel aging to long-term bottle aging in temperature-controlled rooms. Eventually the wines find their way to enthusiasts worldwide.

Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

One of Ricasoli 1141's most prestigious product lines are the Chianti Classico Gran Selezione wines, which represent the highest classification within the Chianti Classico region. These wines are made from the estate's best grapes, with a focus on the Sangiovese grape, which provides power, structure and complexity. The Gran Selezione wines are produced only in the best years and undergo a rigorous selection during harvest.
