It is one of the rare pure Cabernet Francs from Bolgheri and from Italy, dedicated by Marilisa Allegrini to her brother Walter, who passed away in 2003, and who has become the flagship of Poggio al Tesoro. It is the jewel in the crown of Poggio al Tesoro.
From the 2015 vintage, there began an even more radical focus on terroir and grape quality. In the microclimate of Bolgheri and on the fossil-rich soil of the Via Bolgherese vineyard, located in the prestigious area known as Soprastrada, this vine, generally used to impart elegance to Bordeaux blends, finds the ideal conditions to express itself in a wholly autonomous and absolutely original way.
A compact and elegant Cabernet Franc with fine tobacco notes, aromas of ripe blackberries, some pepper and eucalyptus with light earthy tones. Concentrated fruit and polished tannins on the palate, with a clear, rich finish.
