In the southwest of the Saar valley are the vineyards of Goldberg, above the village of Wawern. On slopes up to 235 meters high, the vines grow on Devonian slate soils, which gives the wine a unique character.
Goldberg is Grosse Gewächs or “ Grand Cru ” and reveals citrus aromas with subtle notes of minerality from the slate and quartz soil. Balanced in purity and intensity.
When tasting, this dry Riesling continues to leave a rich impression, with a medium to full body, a soft and tasteful texture, and a long-lasting, intense finish with tantalizing salty nuances.
