The Mazzano from the Mazzano vineyard in Negrar shows more maturity, volume, and roundness compared to its sibling from Campolongo di Torbe. It feels as though this wine also has a bit more sweetness, which adds a lot of liveliness and clarity to the underlying aromas of candied black cherries and blackberry preserves. Mazzano also displays a pronounced savoriness with aged spices, preserved tobacco, and a hint of smoked bresaola or bacon.
