In the valley of Rivas de Tereso are two old vineyards at an altitude of 500 meters. Thanks to this lower location, the vineyards enjoy more shelter than the vineyards in the surrounding mountains, resulting in increased ripening of the grapes. This gives the wine more body, with the character of the traditional Tempranillo from Rioja Alavesa, while at the same time retaining the freshness that is so characteristic of Sierra de Toloño.
