This is a new type of Supertuscan, successfully expressing the richness of an extraordinary region by combining tension, complexity, and great refinement.
Sondraia (a blend predominantly of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc) makes excellent use of oak aging, resulting in soft tannins, velvety richness, and appealing concentration. The wine is generally very well-managed with plenty of dark fruit, balanced by spices and tobacco.
