Elena Walch is among the top wine estates in Italy located in Alto Adige. Along with her two daughters, Elena Walch runs the family business, producing high-quality wines that enjoy international success. The Castel Ringberg and Kastelaz estates form the core of the vineyards, totaling approximately 55 hectares, all of which are single vineyards. Elena's two daughters, Caroline and Julia, have followed in their mother's footsteps and now run this fantastic winery with its own style of wines.
This 100% Chardonnay has a fresh golden yellow color and a bouquet characterized by a variety of aromas. Complex with exotic fruits, including papaya, spicy with roasted almonds and honey. In the mouth, the wine impresses with a unique interplay of freshness and strength with an alcohol content of 13.5%, which provides a beautiful balance. An elegant structure, a juicy, mineral vein combined with creamy body and harmonious balance, as well as a long, refreshing finish.
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and immediately crushed and pressed. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels with partial malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for 10 months on the lees while being regularly stirred. The wine is then aged in the bottle for several months before being released.
White meat dishes, smoked salmon, and refined mushroom dishes pair excellently with this wine.
